Some random tidbits from recent times!

1. Cael - private commission

2. Self-initiated quickie for a brief - "god randomizer". Tumblr, what can I say.

3. Initial idea for my piece for the Tarot, Mystics and the Occult exhibition.

Help_japan

As part of the help_japan effort at Livejournal, I did three sketch comissions and, small as my contribution might have been, the community ended up raising $116,805.34 (!). Now that's what I call an effort.

The other sketches can be seen here and here.

Thank you, Catherine, Erin and Nicha!

Flycatcher and Red Riding Hood from Vertigo's Fables

Spirit

The Totoro comission for Christel also included a sketch, to be sent to her via snail mail together with the rest of the package. At the time, in light of the recent wave of teen suicides due to homophobic bullying, she asked me for something along these lines.

After she had been so patient and understanding throughout the whole comissioning proccess, and given such an absolutely sweet brief, I felt that "one 30 minutes sketch" wasn't enough. Not only was this a lot of fun, it also made me feel accomplished in a way I hadn't in quite some time.

Umbrella Rain

Comissioned by Christel for the help_haiti auction at Livejournal. Totoro, Mei and Satsuki are from the cult Miyazaki animation, My Neighbour Totoro. But you probably already know that.
